The Lane's of Virginia
This week has been busy with birthday plans ! Jeff turned 31 on Saturday and had a great birthday! We kicked off with a fun breakfast, ultimate frisbee, video games and typanyaki. Needless to say, we had a lot of fun!
The achievement day girls had their how to take care of babies and little kids class this week. After two moms told us about their experiances we melted crayons and made some pretty pictures for their moms! Some of the girls turn some of theirs into cards for them.
Besides those things we have only had doctors appts and work parties.
The Jackson's of Albuquerque
(This was sent by Stacie last week)
Stacie and Kevin have become increasingly busy as the semester draws closer to its end. However, Kevin is excited to have most of his work nearly completed for his current courses. Despite all their busyness they decided to wake up early to watch the Royal Wedding. However, what they really enjoyed was attending a royal wedding party hosted by a visiting professor and his wife from England. Stacie was happy to meet some of Kevin's running buddies, a group of older men and professors that run together by the Rio Grande each week. Stacie was also excited to commence her annual Harry Potter read.

We enjoyed the blessing of Stacie being home with us this week to celebrate Mother's Day. Thank you Kevin. It was absolutely delightful to have her here with us. The funniest event was hearing Grant and Stacie bring out a whole new part of Lanette's personality. Thank you again Stacie for coming.
Grant's News
Grant is on leave from work this week and was able to spend a lot of
time at home with Mom and Stacie. At the beginning of the week he
continued transferring the flowers that have been growing indoors out
to the front porch. And Tuesday night he made some lovely taco soup,
cornbread, and cherry blondie brownies. Wednesday Stacie arrived and
Thursday Mom, Stacie, and Grant ventured out to Marantha Market.
Afterwards Stacie and Grant brainstormed future posts for Stacie's Top
Model blog since Season 17 will be all returning models. On Friday
Mom, Stacie, and Grant went together to Wausau and visited the real
mall before picking up Lanette. Afterwards they went to Logan's track
meet. Grant decided Friday to step down to being a regular bartender
and will need to transfer stores to do so. He is going to transfer to
the Wisconsin Rapids Applebee's where his old boss works now. Saturday
Grant worked in the yard, planting some ornamental grasses that grow
feathered ends, and then two junipers. He and Stacie then made a
special dinner for Mom in honor of Mother's Day, which was chicken
cranberry salad sandwiches with blackberry poppy seed salad.
The Haws Family of Colorado
(This information is from Andy and Melanie from last week)
This week Andy was very glad to give hand off his government cell phone to someone else in the company so he can prepare for his deployment. Even though it hasn't quite hit us yet that he will be leaving again, I already know that Andy and all of us will be watched over, comforted and protected while he is gone. On Saturday we celebrated Haley's birthday a week early. She had fun with her friends from school making bracelets and eating cake and of course her favorite part was opening up presents. Sunday we went Stake Conference and heard the Denver Temple President speak on the importance of making the commitment of temple attendance and how the blessings will pour out from attending. We also got to hear from our Stake President who talked about making our homes a safe haven, and in doing so we need to make sure that we don't have any ways where the adversary would be able to step in. He also challenged all of us to go though our own homes and make sure that we are in compliance with the Lord...no bad movies, language, TV shows, music, immodest clothing, etc. I am so grateful for the council that we receive though the Lord's servants to help us draw closer to Him, and protection that we will receive by following His commandments.
XXXX THIS WEEK'S ADDITION FROM ANDY AND MELANIE XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Happy Birthday this week to Andy and Haley! Andy turned the big 30 and Haley turned the big 6 and let's just say that Andy was not as excited about his birthday as Haley was hers. Work has been busy for Andy this week working in the office when he should have been taking care of everything in preparation to his deployment. On Thursday Haley's class celebrated Cinco de Mayo by making maracas and sombreros and finally Kayla and Haley have been enjoying there last few weeks of school before it wraps up for the summer.
The International Haws Family
I do not have any direct email from Jeff to include but news that I can share includes that he has moved into his new apartment. Mom sent him all sorts of supplies for the house. That, of course, is typical of Mom. He rode his bike about 12miles each way to church today and enjoyed the ride. He is planning on leaving for Brazil in June to work on the family paperwork for getting his family to the states.
XXXX HERE IS JEFF'S INFORMATION
Mom and Dad,
Renata, the boys and I want to start by wishing Mom a very happy Mother's Day.
Our week has gone well. Renata and the boys sound happy and excited and well.
Renata has tried out a new hair style that I think Grant might like. Pictures are up at Flickr and available to be viewed.
My week has been busy but all is coming together and I am glad.
I am sorry not to have better information. I hope this finds you well.
Love,
Jeff
The Haws Family of Wisconsin
Logan has been busy with track and soccer. I was able to attend his last track meet in Athens (Wisconsin not Greece). I was so impressed with how fast he ran. He did great. He has a good group of friends. He has not been able to spend as much time with soccer. His former principal died this week. That was a sad event. She was a very good person. Logan's chickens have become very productive and his chicks are growing up quickly.
Emily has been busy with soccer, work and school. Also this week she competed in the State Solo and Ensemble performance in Stevens Point. She earned a "1" for both performances. That is excellent.
Lanette had a great time being home with Stacie and Grant. She can be hiliarous. Lanette did get a new book this week and had a great time reading it. Grant teased Lanette endlessly. She is quickly coming to the end of her Janesville experience.
Mom has been busy with all sorts of things including attending soccer, track, Solo and Ensemble events while still enjoying time with her kids. Hopefully she had a good Mother's Day and felt appreciated for at least a bit of what she does. She has been enjoying general good health which is a wonderful blessing.
I have been doing well. I enjoyed watching the soccer and track performances. I enjoy watching Grant preparing our yard for all sorts of color. I have been trying to put up a fence/fortress around my fruit trees to ward off deer. I had the opportunity to speak at a pediatric conference on Friday. That was a fun challenge.
I have appreciated the opportunity of attending the temple recently. I am in awe of the powerful blessings the temple covenants bring to our family. I love you all dearly. Dad
