There are lots of fun pictures in the updated flickr slideshow. I should have put Henry front and center in the slide show but that is beyond my technological ability. He is at the end instead. Please enjoy all the pictures from this week.
Welcome Henry to a wonderful family!!!!
The Haws Family of Colorado
(Last week's contribution)
On Tuesday I helped with both Haley’s and
Kayla’s Valentine party at school. Then on Wednesday we were all
excited to pick Grandma Nancy up from the airport. On Thursday
while I went to help in Haley’s classroom my mom and Vanesa adventured (actually
got lost) downtown Colorado Springs…they probably should have had pepper spray
with them where they went. While they were off “exploring” I was
preparing activities for Kayla’s birthday. Friday Kayla decided to
wake up in the middle of the night to let us know that it was her birthday and
she is 5 years old. I told her that was wonderful and she needed
to go back to bed. Friday we celebrated Kayla’s birthday by having
a party with some of her friends. They made butterfly wands,
played pin crown on the princess and ate cake. Everyone seemed to
have a good time. On Saturday Vanesa and I were planning to go to
the temple but our plans changed because Kayla was up all night and then ended
up with a fever and throwing up on Saturday. On Sunday my mom and
Vanesa took Haley to church while I took Kayla to the urgent care because her
fever did not go away and she also developed a rash all over her body; we found
out she had strep throat. Hopefully no one else in the household
gets it. Andy seems to be doing well. Of course he
is continually staying busy checking up on different fobs throughout
Afghanistan.
The Wisconsin Haws Family
The week has been focused on the new arrival of Henry. He has been in our prayers as he started this earthly journal with a bit of a challenge. He is doing well and the news from New Mexico is all favorable. He has some pretty awesome parents and one terrific Nana.
Logan and I had some quality time this last week. On Saturday he participated in a piano concert and earned a "superior" mark. Later that morning we went to the community cultural fair. Marshfield is an amazingly diverse population despite being a small Midwestern town. The cultural fair had all sorts of booths representing many countries. That evening we went to a fireside on missionary service. Later we pick up Emily and enjoyed the movie, Journey 2 to the Lost Island. It was fun.
Emily has been busy with soccer, school, work and boyfriend. She is waiting still to hear back from James Madison but she has received acceptance letters from UW Green Bay, University of Minnesota and Utah State University. She is trying to figure out finances and long term aspirations.
Lanette enjoyed a long weekend with the Weier family. She really knows how to keep up an intinary of visiting friends. Bottom line is that she hates staying home and being "bored". She will have a job interview tomorrow for an opportunity to work at the hospital. She is working part time at Goodwill.
Mom has been doing the most important thing in the world by there for her daughter and son-in-law. Mom is very proud of her children and it has been a good experience despite Henry's rough start.
I have enjoyed time with my family and with other activities. Work has been challenging and in my spare time I have been working on seeking out Pierre Mann, your illusive ancestor.
It is such a joy to see how my children are growing up to be great moms and dads. Thank you for your efforts. And thank you Grant for all you do to make our home a stable, well fed and a pretty clean place.
Love,
Dad

Grant's News
Grant's week went pretty uneventfully. Valentine's Day was
busy at the restaurant of course and Grant covered a position called "expo"
which is the go-between for the kitchen and servers. Basically you put the
orders together, verify they are correct, and then send them out to the table.
So Tuesday was a little crazy. Wednesday he was off, and was supposed to be off
Thursday, but somehow he got confused what day it was and went into work
Thursday, thinking it was Friday and was there a whole hour before anyone said
anything. He ended up working the rest of the afternoon anyways. The weekend was
fairly busy, which is both a blessing and headache, but after a month of super
slow business and skimpy tips, Grant was happy to come home with a bit more
money in his pocket. Today Grant was especially excited to see that the
daffodils in the flower beds are coming up. His 2012 gardening may now
commence.
The Jackson's of Albuquerque
This week was a long one for Stacie now
that she is home alone, waiting for Henry to make his appearance. She did enjoy
spending her free time completing some projects around the house, talking to
Mom, taking naps and going on long walks. On Thursday Stacie & Kevin
attended a doctor's appointment where they set a date to be induced. Unless
Henry decides to come any sooner, they plan to be induced this upcoming
Thursday. Later that day they took a stroll through the foothills together and
enjoyed the beautiful Albuquerque weather.
On Friday Stacie had an ultrasound to insure that their baby is doing
alright. The ultrasound
technician announced that he was a very active baby for this stage and
that he looked ready to arrive at any minute. We pray that everything goes well
with his delivery and look forward to sharing some happy news this
week.
The Wisconsin Haws Family
The week has flown. We have had some snow but for the most part we have enjoyed great weather. I am beginning to plan the garden area and the other day on a walk with Molly I heard birds chirping. I am anxiously awaiting the first robin.
Mom will be leaving us on Wednesday to go to Albuquerque. She is anxious to go and we will miss her but we know she is doing something only a mom can do.
Logan participated in solo and ensemble this last Friday. His piano piece turned out very nice. Mom and I greatly enjoyed it. He also sang a solo but despite arriving on time to hear Logan we missed his performance. They moved up the time for the performance. He did receive a 1 mark for both pieces. That was great, Logan.
Lanette was able to spend time at the Elmhorst this weekend. That was her favorite activity. She has enjoyed talking with Grant about disasters, global warming and all sorts of other things.
Emily was accepted to the University of Minnesota. I am hoping that she will accept the opportunity to study there. We will keep you all updated.
I have continued to work on family history. I have been working with a very kind gentleman in Charlesbourg, Quebec that is really helping me. My goal is to find out more information regarding Pierre Man who was born in 1796. I am still looking for his parents and siblings. I will keep you posted.

Grant's News
Grant's week started off very quiet, with most of the family away in Virginia for Alex's blessing. He accepted a new duty at work that is basically doing the bookkeeping Friday nights. They have been trying to sucker him into managing at the restaurant, but bookkeeping is as close Grant is willing to get to that. Thursday he was off work and was able to spend some time with Mom and then worked on some art projects. The rest of the week was pretty smooth at work and on Saturday, Grant spent some time with Lanette watching "The Day After Tomorrow". He has successfully turned Lanette into a global warming activist. (Actually, he probably just exacerbated Lanette's obsession with natural disasters.) Saturday night and Sunday morning, Grant spent listening to Whitney Houston music. Grant will greatly miss that senorita.

February 5th Update
This week has been a little crazy but good week. I was able to talk with Andy on Tuesday and Wednesday which was wonderful because he was headed off to his new base in Afghanistan and I don’t know how often he will have internet access because of all of his traveling that he will be doing to all of the other fobs. On Wednesday I also helped in Haley’s class for reading time. I am glad that I have the time to help, because it is nice to be able to spend a little extra time with the girls if I am able too. Thursday Kayla had a play date with Emma for her birthday. Gena took them to McDonalds and then decorated cupcakes. They were having so much fun that when Kayla was chasing Emma, Kayla ran into Emma’s door and ended up with a big bruise on her forehead and by her eye. Later that day after I picked up Haley it started to snow and we ended up with 3 inches within the hour which is unusual for this area. Haley and Kayla planted a “snow tree” while they were playing. On Friday I was daring and adventured out taking Haley to school on rough roads. I only did it because Brother Stewart had to pick up my neighbors kids to take them to school and he told me that if I have front wheel drive I would be fine. I also figured that I need to learn to drive that type of weather. The wind was blowing so bad that it had put almost a foot to 18 inches of snow drifts on the side of the road. I was shocked that it only took us a few minutes longer to get to school than normal. Saturday Haley and Kayla played with Sydney while I enjoyed talking with Sydney’s mom. On Sunday we went to church and I was glad that my class was in a happier mood today. It makes it easier to teach when they want to listen and participate in class.
February 13th update
This week has been fun for the girls. On Monday Vanesa, Wyatt and Luke arrived, but as soon as they got here Vanesa had to take Luke to the ER because he had a double ear infection. After a few days of the antibiotic Luke felt much better. I was also able to hear from Andy on Monday. He is very busy flying/drive from fob to fob and also getting all of his reports done. Please continue to keep him in your prayers. On Wednesday I helped in Haley’s class during reading. Thursday during school and Thursday night Haley had a little play at the school titled “Frog and Toad” she played one of the pond creatures and did a wonderful job too! Friday we ran some errands and then surprised Haley by eating lunch with her at school. On Saturday Haley’s friend Sydney came over to play. When Tamara (Sydney’s mom) came to pick her up, Ryan (Sydney’s brother) was very excited to see that Wyatt was here and of course had a fun time being boys. Sunday the primary sang a birthday song to Kayla. She has been so excited for her birthday to be here. Every day she asks me how many more days until her birthday; after I tell her she says, “I am so excited only (so many days) until my birthday!” Our little girl is growing up so fast.

February 5th Update
On Monday Stacie enjoyed a wonderful birthday filled with shopping, delicious crab legs, and getting her nails done. She is a very happy 24-year old.
After a restful Monday came an adventurous Tuesday. While leaving work Stacie tripped on the pavement and fell. She immediately started to feel contractions and decided to call the hospital. The doctor on-call advised her to come in and get a stress test done. After sitting in the waiting room for nearly two hours she was finally monitored. Although they were frustrated that it took so long to get checked, they were thankful to discover that baby Henry is just fine.
On Saturday they helped host the ward Square Dancing & Pie Night. Yes, Stacie, with her big belly and all, joined the dancing in the hopes to induce labor. No luck yet. However, the event was enjoyable and they were thankful for the opportunity to introduce their friends Jim & Sara to the missionaries.
February 13th Update
This week marked Stacie's last week at work before starting her maternity leave. She was pleased to have many outstanding projects completed before she left and thankful that she never had to use her "emergency my-water-just-broke kit" while at work. On Thursday the doctor used an old ultrasound machine to verify the baby's position. Although it was an older image, Stacie & Kevin enjoyed seeing their little one and hope that it won't be long before they see each other face to face.
On Friday Kevin & Stacie went out to dinner with Kattia & Kattia (one Kattia is the woman he tutors and the other is her friend). They really enjoyed discovering a new, delicious Mexican food restaurant and spending time with some very funny Latinas.
On Saturday they had fun taking a walk together and eating some frozen yogurt from Costco. The weather was beautiful. However, this morning it started to snow, which means bad news on Albuquerque roads. While driving on the highway Kevin was hit from behind and spun across several lanes of traffic. We are very thankful that the damage to their car was minimal and that he was not hurt.
Thank you for keeping Stacie & Kevin in your prayers. We hope that Henry will make his appearance this week and will keep you all informed on whatever happens.

Mom went out to be with Julie, Jeff and Alex shortly after Alex's birth. She had a wonderful time in Virgina. Logan, Lanette and I left for Pennsylvania on February 3rd. I did not mistype, Pennsylvania. We kept the secret pretty well that we were on our way to Virgina but instead we went straight to Allentown, PA to pick up Jeff. From there we went on to Virginia. That evening we went out to dinner at CiCi's pizzeria. Mom was in line to get her favorite slice of pizza when a handsome young man stood next to her. I was trying to take her picture but suddenly she recognized that handsome young man was Jeff. We all had a great laugh and enjoyed watching Mom rejoice in seeing her son.
The focus of the weekend was Alexander Daniel Lane. He is adorable. Jeff pronouced a beautiful blessing on Alex. It was enjoyable to hear the testimony of Julie and Jeff as well as Fred Lane. We really had a wonderful time in fact I consider it one of the best weekends of my life.
We left Sunday evening and came up to Virginia. We had a brief visit with Steve and Dona. That evening we slept at Jeff's. We traveling back to Marshfield the following day. Despite the long driving time I really had a great time. I am getting rested up for the New Mexico trip in March.
This weekend Mom and I were able to attend the temple. It was a wonderful experience as I realized again how much the Atonement of Jesus Christ means to each of us.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Happy Birthday to Stacie!!!!
The Jackson's of Albuquerque
This week was filled with excitement and special deliveries for Stacie & Kevin. On Monday they received the news that Carolyn & Brent's daughter, Claire, was born. Although it was a difficult labor for Carolyn, they are all thankful for a beautiful and healthy little girl. Throughout the week Stacie has been receiving special deliveries to celebrate her birthday. A special thanks to Mom & Grant for putting together so many wonderful things to celebrate her 24th birthday.
Kevin was busy throughout the week attending extra lectures and meetings held by candidates for a professor position in his program. He was particularly impressed by a professor from the University of Texas- Arlington and hopes that he will soon be joining the faculty at UNM. On Thursday Stacie & Kevin were happy to hear at their doctor's appointment that Henry is completely in position and ready to go. Just waiting on contractions to begin.
On Saturday Stacie went to a baby shower for her visiting teaching companion, whose son is due a few days after Henry. Afterwards Kevin & Stacie joined their friends for a game of disc golf at the park, then spent the rest of the evening catching up on homework and laundry. They hope to have some additional news about the arrival of their son soon, but will simply enjoy the upcoming week and the festivities of celebrating Stacie's birthday.
The Colorado Haws Family
Not too much has happened this past week. Kayla was able to play with Emma twice this week and on Thursday Sydney came over to play with Haley. On Friday Kayla and I ran some errands before we ate lunch with Haley. Saturday we were able to talk with Andy for an hour, and then I took the girls to an “Alice in Wonderland” activity at the library. On Sunday Haley gave a talk in primary. I needed to teach my class so I wasn’t able to watch her but she said she did a wonderful job. Andy will be moving to his new base this week. He said that he won’t be at the base very often because he has to check up on 25 other fobs throughout Afghanistan. So once again he has new mailing address:

This has been a busy week for us. Logan participated in a contest called "Brains" on Saturday. It was held in Lacrosse so we went down on Friday night. We stayed overnight at a motel. The next day Logan competed in the contest. The contest was sort of like Jeopardy for junior high students. Logan did very well.
Lanette spent the weekend with the Elmhorst, who else? She had a lot of fun with them. The weekend was capped for Lanette with the branch linger longer on Sunday afternoon. Tonight I downloaded for her the music from the Righteous Brothers. That is one of Lanette's favorite groups.
Emily has been busy with school and work. She is planning on moving to Georgia to work this coming fall. She would like to attend college in Georgia because of the better tuition fees.
Mom has spent a wonderful week in Harrisonburg being Nanna. She has completed the blessing outfit for Henry while enjoying time with Julie and Jeff.
I have had an interesting week at work. It was been challenging but also interesting. I am looking forward to a visit to see Alex and his parents.
Please have a wonderful week.

January 24, 2012
The big news of the week was the much anticipated arrival of Alexander Daniel Lane. He arrived shortly after midnight on January 20th. He was 7 lbs 15.2 ounces and 19 3/4 inches long. Alex, Julie and Jeff are all doing well. Mom left early Sunday morning to go and help out. We will look forward to some baby pictures very soon.
By special request will each of you pray for the paperwork for Jeff's family to go through so that they can join us here in the US.

On Monday Stacie enjoyed a day off of work, cleaning the house and resting, while Kevin spent most of the day tutoring his student, Kattia. In the evening they went out to Tucanos with their friends to take advantage of Stacie's birthday discount. On Tuesday classes commenced again for Kevin. He enjoys his subjects and, especially, teaching two introductory English courses. On Saturday they went disc golfing with several friends and then enjoyed barbecuing afterwards.
On Thursday they attended a doctor's appointment where the doctor reported that Henry is in position, but hasn't dropped just yet. Kevin & Stacie are excited for the last few weeks of waiting for their little one, especially now that baby Alex has arrived. They anticipate that Brent and Carolyn's baby will be born either today or tomorrow. It will be wonderful to have all of the babies arrive so soon.
In addition to the anticipated birth of baby Claire (Brent & Carolyn's daughter), this upcoming week Kevin looks forward to meeting the candidates for a professor's position at UNM. Stacie looks forward to taking the day off next Monday to celebrate her birthday and hopes to find some nice things to do for it throughout this week.

Monday I took Haley to the doctors for her stomach; the good news is she just needs to be on Nexium for the next 12 weeks and then hopefully her stomach problems will go away. Later that day I took Haley, Kayla and Sydney to Coldstone Creamery for their $1 Monday ice creams because they were really good when we had to run errands. On Tuesday Kayla didn’t have school so she got to help me clean the house and run more errands. Wednesday I helped with reading in Haley’s class. I am hoping that all my volunteer work will pay off in getting a substitute job with the district next school year. On Thursday my visiting teachers came. While they gave me the lesson Kayla loved playing with Emma and Rebecca. On Friday I took Kayla to Olive Garden and then to Toy’s R Us to pick out a bike for her birthday. She chose a Dora bikr but I told her that she could not ride it until her actual birthday which won’t be for another month. On Saturday we cleaned the house and then I took Haley and Kayla to play at the park. Sunday we went to church and then played with play-doh. I heard from Andy a couple of times this week. He is still staying busy and will shortly be moving to a different area in Afghanistan. When I get the new mail address for him I will let you all know.
Grant's News
Grant had a pretty uneventful week of work. It has still been pretty quiet, which is somewhat frustrating. Yesterday Grant had six tables in five hours. But since he spends his free time at work doing deep cleaning, Hudson's is sparkling clean. Tuesday he didn't have to work so he spent the day at Fleet Farm and Menards planning a shade garden he is going to build along the basement windows. Grant also has been reading "The Zombie Survival Guide", which is a book by Max Brooks, who wrote "World War Z". So if there is a zombie apocalypse, Grant has this thing figured out. Otherwise, nothing to report for Grant's week.
The Haws Family of Wisconsin
We experienced a pretty cold week. Logan and I were suppose to go to a scout activity but the roads were pretty treacherous so we opted to stay home in our cozy home.
It was strange to go to church on Sunday without Mom. She holds our family together in so many ways.
Logan is excited to go to his Brains competition in LaCrosse. I am hoping that he will do really well.
Lanette has began swim activities in PE. Apparently the water is a bit cold for her taste. I do think that she enjoys it although.
Emily went to a dance on Saturday night. She had a really good time.
I have been considering the blessings of the temple this week and the encouragement to rejoice in our posterity. I have thought a lot about that. I am so blessed to call you my family. There is no amount of money, fame or good fortune that I would trade for the blessing of you.
I hope that you will have a wonderful day.

Love
Dad

The Haws Family in Colorado
This week seemed like a pretty good and busy week. On Tuesday my friend Gena and I went to the Temple while Kayla and Emma got to play at Brea’s house. Of course when it was time to pick them up they both did not want to leave because they were having fun playing on the tire swing. Wednesday was a very, very windy day. I felt like I was going to be blown away when I went to do my visiting teaching. On Friday Haley had her renaissance assembly where she received a Roars Card and Gold Card. Roars stands for Respect, Organization, Attitude, Responsibility, and Safety. The Gold Card was for getting 3’s and 4’s 100% of the time on the report card. Way to go Haley! After the assembly I took the girls to Target to pick out a toy and then to dinner at Wendy’s. Saturday we were able to talk to Andy for a few minutes on Skype and then we headed off to the “crazy Saturday” commissary. Luckily this time the commissary wasn’t as packed as last time. After, we spent some time playing at the park and riding bikes at home since it was 60 degrees outside. Sunday Kayla was assigned to read the scripture and say the prayer in primary. I wasn’t able to be in with her but she told me that she did very, very well. As for Andy, he has been busy at work this past week and has also informed me that he will be moving to a new area in Afghanistan.
The Lane's of Virginia
As a child told Julie today at church,"Sister Lane, did you see your belly? YOUR HUGE" Obviously our little bun is still in the oven as the doctor cruelly thought it would be funny to see how long he could torture Julie. As a result, Julie has been rather uncomfortable with the almost 8.5 lb baby she is carrying around this week, but is trying to not cry too much with all those hormones. Thank you to all who have taken the time to call and check up on her. It really has been a source of comfort to her!
We have mostly tried to keep busy this week and have had a fairly easy time with it since there have been more doctor's appointments and more make up hours in our schedule. We did get a chance to run a flyer out to a YSA member and visit another single woman, Rebecca, today. It was nice to get out and to talk to her.
Monday, we picked up a $5 hot and ready and watch "Valkyrie". We also had a doctor's appointment.
Tuesday, there was enrichment and it was focused on making the lemons in our life into lemonade
Wednesday, there was a gas leak at Jeff's work-he had to leave work early due to it. No building explosion though
Friday, we had two doctor's appointments as conveniently far apart they could make them since they were scheduled at the last minute. Jeff dropped Julie off after the first visit in the mall and then came back for her later for the second doctor's appointment.
Saturday, Jeff accidentally broke our printer but still managed to get it to print a few important documents! Whoohoo!
Sunday, everyone at church came up to us and began to tell us how they induced labor. Julie's top theory that she is longing to try is eating Papa John's BBQ chicken pizza. Poor Jeff. He is surely sick of pizza but this baby just cannot get enough of the heavenly food.
The Jackson's of Albuquerque
On Sunday Kevin and Stacie had two brothers from their ward over for dinner, along with their friend Nick. Although these two brothers struggle with some mental disabilities, they are a joy to have in their home as they love to talk, laugh, and sing. They sang at least fifteen songs from the hymn book; however, since they aren't able to read the songs featured some creative lyric choices.
On Monday they attended a doctor's appointment. After the doctor said, "Any time now!" they started to feel nervous, anxious and excited to think that their little boy could be coming any day. This has also lead to a lot of cleaning, organizing and stocking up the pantry. However, on Friday evening they took a break to spend time with their friends, Jim & Sara. They ate pizza and played board games until both Stacie and Jim & Sara's daughter, Charlotte, were fast asleep from all the fun.
This week they look forward to hopefully receiving some exciting news from Kevin's sister, Carolyn, and from Julie. Let's get these babies here!
Grant's News
On Monday Grant and the entire restaurant staff went to a Marshfield girls' hockey game to support one of their cooks who was playing. They had to have staff from the Wausau store come to run the restaurant while they were at the game. It was a neat event for the cook who didn't know that all of her coworkers would be showing up to cheer her on. Tuesday Grant didn't work so he went for a walk in the marsh, where he found a dead wolf. It was pretty creepy. That is the second wolf he has seen out there. The rest of the week Grant worked and it was rather frustrating because it was very slow. It's not so bad to have one slow day now and then, but when you have a lot of them in a row, you end up with no paycheck because as a server or bartender, your paycheck is the tips you earn from having tables. No tables, no money. The end of the week was sad when Grant had to say goodbye to one of his favorite coworkers who was back for winter break and was heading back to school in Green Bay. However, he is excited that the coworker will be returning for the summer.
The Haws Family of Wisconsin
We have continued to anxiously looked forward to the arrival of Alex. Mom has been working full out to prepare blankets and other treats for two special grandchildren. I too have been working on a project but unfortunately I have been slower than Mom.
Logan went with our scout troop on Wednesday night skiing and on Friday to a friends party. He is looking forward to going to Lacrosse at the end of the month for the "Brains" contest.
Emily has been putting a lot of hours into work and school. She is giving a haircut to her boyfriend tonight.
Lanette is amazed at the number of babies she has met lately. It is pretty cool.

The International Haws Family News
Jeff sent a very fun video with Derick jumping on the bed. I will forward it to all of you. You will get a kick out of it. We wish their family the best as Jeff flies out on Wednesday to return to the States. We all pray that the paperwork will go through soon.
The Jackson's of Albuquerque
On Monday Stacie & Kevin enjoyed their last day of vacation together by driving out to a bird preservation called Bosque del Apache. The bird preservation is a sanctuary for thousands of cranes, geese, eagles, deer, and elk. On Tuesday Stacie returned to work, which has been both interesting and difficult since many upper level management positions have become vacant. Meanwhile, Kevin spent most of his time trying to keep their car up and running.
On Friday Stacie enjoyed a baby shower with her co-workers. Only a few more weeks to go! On Saturday Kevin assisted with the music at a ward baptism while Stacie worked with a sister from their ward to prepare for their next ward activity (a Square Dance/Pie Night). Afterwards Kevin spent some time assisting the woman he tutors, then Stacie & Kevin joined their friends Sara and Jim for a round of disc golf and for dinner.

This week has been mostly busy with odd and end sort of things to keep busy as we wait for the wee little babe! Or should we say not so wee because according to the doctor this week we were two weeks ahead in belly growth. So we are hoping that means he got the tall Lane genes!
Monday, Jeff had the day off so we went to lunch at Chili's with one of the gift cards Ma and Pa gave to us for Christmas. It was a delightful treat! Thank you!
Jeff picked up lots of hours this week trying to do some make up for the doctor's appointments we have had and will be having tomorrow.
In an effort to keep busy we called a few friends to do things together. We ended up going to a surprise birthday party for a friend and played swords with another couple. We also started a "Lord of the Rings" marathon since the husband had never seen that or the old Star Wars films.
Tonight the home-teachers came over. It is always nice to see them. Julie got a little giggle when the deacon that was passing the sacrament held the bread just out of reach from her and because of how big her belly is she could not reach it. Luckily he realized his mistake and brought it closer, but it was one of those funny moments.
Tomorrow we should be scheduling and induction with the doctor so we will keep you all updated. If all goes as planned we should have lots of pictures and news to share, so do not be surprised if you get texts or emails from us!
Grant's News
The week started off very slow for Grant. Sunday was painfully slow at work due to it being New Year's, a snowstorm, and a Packers game. At the beginning of the week Grant had some time off so he worked on organizing the family's food storage in the basement. On Tuesday he watched the Iowa caucus results with Dad and Mom, if only to giggle at the candidates. It was fun to see the numbers go back and forth from Rick Santorum and Mitt Romney and watch Dad so drawn into it, even at one in the morning. Wednesday Grant was excited to purchase his plane ticket to go spend a week with Kevin, Stacie, and Henry in March. The rest of the week was pretty steady at work.
The Wisconsin Haws Family news
Based on current weather patterns I will be planting my garden very soon. I was on schedule to clean the church walks of snow. I could not have asked for an easier assignment.
This week Mom and I enjoyed the opportunity to attend the temple. We did work for a brother and sister. The sister was Marie Louis Gagnon born in 1790 and the brother was Etie Gagnon born in 1809. It was a wonderful experience to be at the temple with Mom.
Logan and I were able to attend a basketball game together at the University of Wisconsin- Steven Point. Logan has been a great help around the house. His chickens are doing very well in this warm weather and the egg production is going strong.
Emily has been working quite a bit as you saves for college. She still has not heard back from her first and second picks, James Madison University and the University of Minnesota.
Lanette has enjoyed meeting a new family that moved into the branch. She is also anxious to meet a family with young children. Mom and I are looking into some technology options for her personal development.
Mom is packing and getting ready to travel to Virginia soon. Followed closely by a trip to New Mexico. Mom is the best. She is constantly working on blankets and other items for soon to arrive grandbabies. We all look forward to their arrivals.
I hope that you will have wonderful week. Love Dad
