Happy Birthday to Stacie!!!!
The Jackson's of Albuquerque
This week was filled with excitement and special deliveries for Stacie & Kevin. On Monday they received the news that Carolyn & Brent's daughter, Claire, was born. Although it was a difficult labor for Carolyn, they are all thankful for a beautiful and healthy little girl. Throughout the week Stacie has been receiving special deliveries to celebrate her birthday. A special thanks to Mom & Grant for putting together so many wonderful things to celebrate her 24th birthday.
Kevin was busy throughout the week attending extra lectures and meetings held by candidates for a professor position in his program. He was particularly impressed by a professor from the University of Texas- Arlington and hopes that he will soon be joining the faculty at UNM. On Thursday Stacie & Kevin were happy to hear at their doctor's appointment that Henry is completely in position and ready to go. Just waiting on contractions to begin.
On Saturday Stacie went to a baby shower for her visiting teaching companion, whose son is due a few days after Henry. Afterwards Kevin & Stacie joined their friends for a game of disc golf at the park, then spent the rest of the evening catching up on homework and laundry. They hope to have some additional news about the arrival of their son soon, but will simply enjoy the upcoming week and the festivities of celebrating Stacie's birthday.

Not too much has happened this past week. Kayla was able to play with Emma twice this week and on Thursday Sydney came over to play with Haley. On Friday Kayla and I ran some errands before we ate lunch with Haley. Saturday we were able to talk with Andy for an hour, and then I took the girls to an “Alice in Wonderland” activity at the library. On Sunday Haley gave a talk in primary. I needed to teach my class so I wasn’t able to watch her but she said she did a wonderful job. Andy will be moving to his new base this week. He said that he won’t be at the base very often because he has to check up on 25 other fobs throughout Afghanistan. So once again he has new mailing address:

This has been a busy week for us. Logan participated in a contest called "Brains" on Saturday. It was held in Lacrosse so we went down on Friday night. We stayed overnight at a motel. The next day Logan competed in the contest. The contest was sort of like Jeopardy for junior high students. Logan did very well.
Lanette spent the weekend with the Elmhorst, who else? She had a lot of fun with them. The weekend was capped for Lanette with the branch linger longer on Sunday afternoon. Tonight I downloaded for her the music from the Righteous Brothers. That is one of Lanette's favorite groups.
Emily has been busy with school and work. She is planning on moving to Georgia to work this coming fall. She would like to attend college in Georgia because of the better tuition fees.
Mom has spent a wonderful week in Harrisonburg being Nanna. She has completed the blessing outfit for Henry while enjoying time with Julie and Jeff.
I have had an interesting week at work. It was been challenging but also interesting. I am looking forward to a visit to see Alex and his parents.
Please have a wonderful week.
Love,
Dad
